Erma Bombeck

Erma was a native Daytonian who made millions of people laugh with her down-to-earth humor.  She was a graduate of the University of Dayton and she began her writing career as a columnist for the Kettering-Oakwood Times and then the Dayton Journal Herald. Her columns became nationally syndicated, and at one time entertained readers of over 900 newspapers, with her wry observations on family life.
